2024-25 Woodside School Survey 
Deadline: This Sunday, May 11
It's time for our annual Woodside School Survey (English) (Spanish). With the help of Woodside School’s Site Council and the School Board, the district is eager to hear your thoughts. Your feedback and comments are essential to help us shape and improve our school and shape the next steps. We've streamlined the survey, and it should take no more than 9 minutes to complete. Responses will remain anonymous, so we strongly encourage you to take the time to provide as much detail as possible. The survey can be easily accessed on a mobile device. Wild Wild WES Grand Auction
Sat., May 17 
The Grand Auction is next Saturday, May 17. Cocktails and live music begin at 5:30 PM, followed by a seated dinner and live auction at 7 PM. 

The online auction is OPEN and runs until next Thursday, May 15, at 10 pm. You can view the digital version of our online auction catalog HERE (password: wildcats). Register for the auction NOW and start selecting your favorites to make things easier once the bidding starts!

Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee
This Fri., May 16; 1:00-2:30pm; Wildcats
The 2024-25 Citizens Bond Oversight Committee will meet this Friday, May 16, to review construction, renovation, modernization, and creek embankment stabilization updates funded by School Bond Measure E and Parcel Tax expenditures. Parents and community members are welcome to attend the open session as an opportunity to address the committee.

May Day 2025 —THANK YOU!
Thank you all for coming out and making the 103rd May Day Festival lively and lovely. The sun smiled upon us, and the Maypole dance this year happened back where it belongs—in the amphitheater. A HUGE thank you to the May Day Committee, who spent months planning, anticipating details, and coordinating for seemingly endless hours. Thank you to the team of teachers and parents who made the 3rd graders' performance a tear-jerker. Thank you to all of our community partners for sharing the load. And to everyone who came out to hang banners, run carnival booths, move tables, answer questions, and participate in the parade, THANK YOU.

Sequoia Healthcare District — Healthy Schools Initiative Grants
Each year, the Sequoia Healthcare District’s Healthy School Initiative helps to support school-based health programs for over 28,000 students across 8 school districts in San Mateo County, ours included. The program funds over 60 staff, including wellness coordinators, school nurses, and counselors. Additionally, the initiative trains school staff to support students' emotional health. The Sequoia Healthcare District ensures taxpayers’ dollars are specifically directed to improve the healthcare of the community through coordinated, school-based programs.

The district will graciously donate 3 AEDs (automated external defibrillators) to be installed near our playing fields on campus and available if needed.  Also, read SEQHD's Healthy Schools Initiative (HSI) newsletter to learn how they support our school.

Upcoming Student Assessments
Student assessments for some grades start this week. Please keep in mind the upcoming assessment dates for each grade level provided below and make sure that your students are present on those days, as rescheduling is difficult. Student Assessments

WESD's School Wellness Policy is being worked on by our Wellness Committee. We encourage the general public and school community (including parents, students, and representatives of the school food authority, teachers of physical education, school health professionals, the school board, and school administrators) to participate in the District's wellness policy process. If you would like to provide input, contact Nurse Abbe or Director of Business Hanwool Kim. 

No Dogs on Campus
Please do not bring your dogs to campus at ANYTIME — including after-school sports teams/clubs using the WES field, weekends and summer break. This is a school policy and large signs are posted at the entrances to campus. We have had a significant problem with dog waste on our fields and campus. It is also important to provide a clean and safe environment for our students, especially those with allergies and animal fears. Please use our beautiful Woodside trails to walk your dogs.
